The sand racing on Mablethorpe Beach is a popular event during the off-season months from October to March. Each year, enthusiasts and spectators alike flock to our scenic seaside town to partake in or witness this exciting spectacle.

The famous Mablethorpe Sand races are back again for the 54th season, running throughout the winter months of 2023/2024, beginning on the 15th October 2023 and ending with the finale on the 24th March. About Us Welcome to Mablethorpe Sandracing. Mablethorpe Sandracing host race meetings on the main beach in Mablethorpe between October and March. We run on an oval circuit which is approximately half a mile in length. Spectating is free along the concrete promenade. There is no tyre rule, but we strongly recommend motocross type tyres are.

The racing takes place on the main beach in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, just North of Skegness. The races are held on a large oval track, approximately ½ mile in length. The club offers lots of different classes you can race in, including the popular motocross classes.

Joe Gimbrone. Joe was a longtime racer from Tonawanda, New York who started racing as a teenager in the Canadian C.O.D. class. Joe's COD was named Andiamo. He also built and drove his own 280 as well as a stock 7 Litre. He built the 5-Litre, Blind, Crippled and Crazy for Marty Prast, the 280 cu. in. class, Typhoon Joolie Too for John Wackerman.

Rides begin at 10:30 am during the season and will continue until around 5 pm each day, depending on both the weather and high tide. Tickets are £3.00 pp for a round trip or just £1.50 pp one way. Under 3's ride free, and dogs are welcome aboard. Swimming in the Sea
